Research Productivity of DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology: A Bibliometric Analysis (2016-2025)
Abstract
This study examines the research output of the DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology (DJLIT) from 2016 to 2025. Data was collected from Elsevier’s renowned Scopus database. Furthermore, MS-Excel and biblioshiny were used for the data analysis. VOSviewer software was used to visualize cooperation among authors. Numerous bibliometric metrics were used, such as the distribution of publications by year, Annual Growth Rate (AGR), and cooperation among authors, institutions, and nations, to measure the research output of the journal. According to the results, the number of publications fluctuated in different years. The most significant number of contributions was found in 2018(16 publications). Article (92.91%) is the most common type of publication. Additionally, Abhishek Kumar is the most productive author. Among the 10 most contributing institutes, the University of Delhi came first with 42 publications. India has the most contributions, with 425 publications (81.41%).
